Margaret Murphy Inman, MD, FACS, FASMBS
A native of Chicago, is a graduate of The University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biological Sciences. She attended Indiana University School of Medicine for her M.D. degree. Dr. Inman completed her general surgery residency at Methodist Hospital of Indiana which is a Level I Trauma Center. Once completing her residency she continued on as a trauma and general surgeon there for 10 years. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, board certified with the American Board of Surgery and is also a Fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. In 1998 after three years in a practice as a general and bariatric surgeon at other institutions, she assisted in starting the St. Vincent bariatric surgical program. Dr. Inman specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery for general and bariatric surgical procedures. She currently offers all forms of bariatric surgery including complex laparoscopic revisional surgery and the duodenal switch procedure. She also has a passion for medical mission work and travels each year to Karuma ,Uganda in Africa to work at Restoration Gateway.
